PDOK Geocoder (Netherlands)
For: MapInfo Pro/MapBasic
By: Egge-Jan Pollé
The tool PDOK.MBX (version 0.30 Beta) offers a function to geocode single addresses in the Netherlands.
The geocoding service used is part of the Dutch SDI (Spatial Data Infrastrucure) - more info to be found here: https://www.pdok.nl/
Your search string may contain one or more of the following elements: Street, Number (optionally including suffix), Postal Code, Town, Municipality and/or Province.
Based on your input the tool will send a request to the geocoding service. Such a request looks like this: http://geodata.nationaalgeoregister.nl/geocoder/Geocoder?zoekterm=Utrecht+Neude+1
The tool will process the result and put an object on the map. The results are stored in the the table PDOK_Results.TAB. (This table will be created automatically.)
Yes, this tool only works in the Netherlands. But you might adapt the source code (all included) to use another geocoding service.
