Multi Mapper Helper
For: MapInfo Pro/MapBasic
Rated: 5 Stars (1 rating)
This tool is designed to boost productivity and assist in map creation when working with multiple Mapper windows. The tool facilities updating multiple Mapper windows based on changes made to layers within a single Mapper window. In this way, multiple Mapper windows can be kept synchronised and consistent.
The tool has been compiled with MapBasic 16.0 and uses new features from this version. You must therefor at least use MapInfo Pro 16.0 to take advantage of the Multi Mapper Helper tool.
The tool allows the user to replicate (“copy” and “paste”) the style override settings, label property settings, layer visibility settings and theme layers associated with a layer in one Mapper into multiple other Mappers at the click of a couple of button.
Simply make the changes to the relevant layer in any mapper, then right-click on the layer and choose Apply Layer Style Override in Other Mappers or Apply Layer Label Properties in Other Mappers. You will be prompted to select which other Mappers to apply the change too.
You can alternatively add a new layer to a Mapper, make changes to the style override and label settings, then using the tool add that layer to multiple other mappers, complete with the changes to the style and label settings.
Users can also remove a map layer from multiple open Mappers in a couple of simple steps.
One of the most powerful features is the ability to select a Theme layer (Individual/Range/Graduated/Dot Density) associated with a layer and then copy that theme layer to the same base layer in other Mappers. Simply right click on the theme layer and select Apply Layer Theme in Other Mappers. The theme will then be added to the same layer in the selected other mapper windows.
You can also apply the layer visibility (turn on/off) in multiple other Mappers. No need to go through individual mappers to change visibility.
You can also copy and paste the content of the Cosmetic Layer from one Mapper into multiple other Mappers. You can choose whether to overwrite the existing cosmetic layer content.
Note: this tool was previously called Context Menu Extra Tool. That tool has been superseded by this version which has significant extra functions.

Kalu has done it again! Another great tool with some very handy features that lets you apply style, labels and themes from one map to another map. Great job, Kalu!
